Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Security Engineer to embed with product teams, designing secure cloud products and infrastructure. You will lead security reviews, threat modeling, and risk reduction initiatives across Google Cloud Platform, guiding developers to build secure by default.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional partners to raise security standards while delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 10 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 10 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 10 years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Embed within product teams to co-design and co-deliver secure cloud products and infrastructure. Design secure protocols and systems.
• Review and develop secure development practices, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff.
• Leverage and state of the art techniques to perform security reviews, as well as research, reproduce and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and drive sustainable risk reduction strategies. Develop security strategy for Google Cloud Platform products.
• Mentor security engineers, software engineers in product teams, and technical leaders.
