Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
• Experience interpreting and implementing controls mapped to industry frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Drive multi-quarter security initiatives under the Cloud Controls strategy and build the compliant catalog.
• Perform risk assessments, system design reviews, and threat modeling across Google Cloud products.
• Translate standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR) into actionable controls and automate reporting.
• Define Key Control Indicators and publish control performance reports.
• Lead remediation efforts, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers.
