Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend development experience in large-scale production environments.
• Proven ability to lead organization-wide development and adoption of key frameworks and coding best practices.
• Experience foreseeing architectural problems or opportunities a year in advance with leadership buy-in.
• Track record of leading large-scale engineering projects from inception to productionization.
• Expertise in testing, monitoring, and alerting standards and incident management at scale.
• Ability to create org-wide frameworks that improve developer velocity and reduce technical debt.
• Proven leadership in building relationships with stakeholders and partners to drive a technical vision.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of highly available, resilient, and cost-efficient distributed systems with sub-50ms latency.
• Architect systems capable of handling 1M+ requests per second with 99.99% availability and strong consistency for critical flows.
• Drive technical strategy for platform evolution, microservices, and API design for new lines of business and partners.
• Build platform abstractions and developer tools to hide complex infrastructure and enable rapid ML/product iteration.
• Spearhead architectural transitions toward Dual-rail resiliency for mission-critical payments and pricing flows.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Ops at director/VP levels to translate requirements into scalable platform solutions.
• Own architecture reviews, reduce systemic debt, and raise observability and incident response standards.
