The ideal candidate has a CPA-relevant degree, 4+ years in accounting/tax within a CPA setting, strong GAAP/OCBOA knowledge, and construction accounting exposure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead review and compilation engagements for a broad client base.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting and tax experience in CPA firm setting
• Knowledge of construction accounting is big plus (WIP Schedules, CIP etc.)
• Experience with compilation and review of GAAP and OCBOA financial statements
• Experience with Ultratax CS preferred
• Strong knowledge of assurance and accounting standards
• Experience with Engagement Manager from Thompson Reuters required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial statements compilation and review engagements according to GAAP and OCBOA
• Manage engagements from start to completion including consulting directly with clients
• Prepare engagement working papers, financial statements, and client correspondence;
• Prepare and review WIP and Percentage Completion Schedules for clients in the construction industry.
• Preparation of individual, corporate and partnership tax returns including 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S and 1041.
• Work with other staff members to take on increasing responsibility and delivery of smaller projects
• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery, and positive client experience for all projects.
