Job summary

Webb & Associates CPA LLC, a full-service CPA firm in Pompano Beach, FL, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant (Auditor) to lead review and compilation engagements for a diverse client base. You will work directly with management and partners to deliver high-quality service, with emphasis on construction accounting and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in accounting/tax within a CPA setting, strong GAAP/OCBOA knowledge, and proficiency with UltraTax CS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years accounting and tax experience in a CPA firm setting.
• Knowledge of construction accounting (WIP, CIP) is a strong plus.
• Experience with compilation and review of GAAP and OCBOA financial statements.
• Experience with UltraTax CS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of assurance and accounting standards.
• Experience with Engagement Manager from Thomson Reuters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial statements compilation and review engagements according to GAAP and OCBOA.
• Manage engagements from start to completion including direct client consultation.
• Prepare engagement working papers, financial statements, and client correspondence.
• Prepare and review WIP and Percentage Completion Schedules for construction clients.
• Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041).
• Collaborate with staff to increase responsibility and deliver smaller projects.
• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery and positive client experience.

Job description

A Full Service CPA Firm located in Pompano Beach, FL is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant (Auditor). Reporting to the firm’s management group, this position’s primary responsibility is to take a lead role in the performance of review and compilation engagements for a broad range of clientele, as well as assisting in tax compliance needs. A senior accountant contributes to the success of the firm by working directly with management and partners to provide clients with high-quality service. Senior staff accountants have strong technical accounting skills and tax knowledge

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting and tax experience in CPA firm setting
• Knowledge of construction accounting is big plus (WIP Schedules, CIP etc…)​
• Experience with compilation and review of GAAP and OCBOA financial statements
• Experience with Ultratax CS preferred
• Strong knowledge of assurance and accounting standards;
• Experience with Engagement Manager from Thompson Reuters required;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
