Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer for AI/ML Security to drive architectural strategy for model armor and sensitive data protection at a global scale. You will lead the design of scalable defenses against prompt injection, jailbreaking, and data leakage, while coordinating across Google Cloud, DeepMind, and other product areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
7 years leading technical project strategy, ML design, and ML infra.
5 years with design/architecture and testing/launching software products.
5 years in Cloud.

Responsibilities

Define long-term technical goal and architectural strategy for model armor and data protection.
Lead design/implementation of scalable, low-latency systems to detect threats like prompt injection and data leakage.
Align security roadmaps across Google Cloud, DeepMind, and other product areas.
Resolve technical disagreements among engineers and researchers to deliver cross-functional objectives.
Mentor staff and executives on ML security to elevate domain expertise.
