SoFi in New York is seeking a Senior Staff AI Engineer to set technical direction for our risk‑oriented AI initiatives. You will architect a scalable AI platform, lead advanced LLM orchestration, and guide a team of engineers in developing production‑level AI solutions.

You will mentor others, champion cross‑functional collaboration, and stay ahead of GenAI and NLP trends to drive innovation in the banking sector.

Formación

• 8+ years software development experience with 3+ years deploying production AI apps used by customers or stakeholders.
• Expert‑level LangGraph to model and orchestrate complex stateful reasoning in LLM apps.
• Proven experience building agentic solutions with planning, memory management, tool integration, and control flow.
• Deep understanding of LLM architectures, prompt engineering, RAG, and advanced generation techniques.
• PEFT techniques (e.g., LoRA) for task‑specific model optimization with low compute.
• Experience with inference engines (vLLM, Triton, TGI) and Kubernetes/GPU orchestration.
• AI observability tools (LangSmith, Arize, Deepchecks) and testing frameworks for LLMs and agents.
• Cloud & containerization (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expert Python; strong React preferred; data pipelines with Snowflake/DynamoDB.

Responsabilidades

• Define long‑term architecture and strategy for a scalable AI platform.
• Architect and standardize graph‑based LLM orchestration and multi‑stage reasoning workflows.
• Develop persistent agent memory and state management across distributed nodes.
• Advance parameter‑efficient fine‑tuning and model compression techniques.
• Support a unified model serving platform for hosted models with low latency inference.
• Set AI operational standards, observability, tracing, and testing for production readiness.
• Mentor senior and junior AI engineers to uplift engineering quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align roadmaps and deliverables.
• Stay current with GenAI, LLM trends, and NLP advancements for banking use cases.
