Job summary

Wilson & Associates, Attorneys at Law seeks a Senior Staff Accountant – Accounting Operations & Process Lead to join our Finance team in downtown Little Rock, AR. This hands-on role owns key accounting processes and reports to the Director of Finance, strengthening financial reporting and controls.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on with GL accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply GAAP and accounting judgment to transactions.
• Own accounting workflows, cash management, and controls.
• Support audits and external accounting requests.
• Develop procedures, documentation, and templates.
• Collaborate with Director of Finance to identify improvements.
• Provide backup coverage for critical Finance processes.
