Job summary

HMSHost Corporation is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Bethesda, MD to support all aspects of joint venture accounting. Responsibilities include cash flow distributions, management fees, and monthly financial statements for multiple JV entities.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and IFRS training. Experience with SAP and hospitality industry preferred, with strong Excel skills and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a technical role.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA, CPA Candidate or MBA preferred.
• Joint Venture accounting experience is a plus.
• 3–5 years of hospitality, F&B and/or retail industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with calculations and payments of JV partner cash flow distributions and management fees.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements for all joint ventures.
• Support collection of JV receivables and notes.
• Assist with preparation of tax packages.
• Assist with monthly journal entries and reconciliation of JV-related accounts.
• Coordinate audits with internal and external auditors.
