Job summary

Recruiting.com LLC is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant in our Finance department to oversee accounting, ownership structures, and partner reporting for our joint venture entities. You will act as the primary liaison between the company and JV partners, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with partnership agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in joint venture, partnership, financial reporting, or multi-entity accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement analysis, equity accounting, ownership allocations, capital accounts, partner distributions, and non-controlling interests.
• Familiarity with partnership tax returns, Schedule K-1 reporting, and coordination with external tax advisors.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage multiple entities, competing priorities, and reporting deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with partners, consultants, and management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accounting administration, financial reporting, and compliance of all assigned JV entities.
• Serves as primary accounting liaison for JV partners and communicates financial results, distributions, and tax matters.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages per partnership agreements and deadlines.
• Maintains ownership structures, capital accounts, partner balances, and participation records.
• Calculates non-controlling interests, allocations, capital contributions, and distributions.
• Reconciles joint venture accounts receivable, including partner funding obligations and loans.
• Reviews partnership agreements for proper accounting treatment and compliance.
• Manages annual tax reporting, coordination with external consultants and Schedule K-1s.
• Develops and improves JV accounting processes and internal controls.
• Supports management with financial analysis and ad hoc reporting.
