Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Bakersfield, CA to own fixed asset accounting and related reporting. You will manage asset records, depreciation calculations, and month-end close within a growing organization.

This role provides exposure to capital projects, lease accounting, and audit readiness, with opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls across accounting and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with fixed assets, reconciliations, depreciation, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset accounting records and related reporting schedules.
• Process asset additions, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
• Support capitalization and construction-in-progress accounting activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, depreciation calculations, and month-end schedules.
• Assist with lease accounting and compliance reporting.
• Support audit requests, financial analysis, and special projects.
