Job summary

Solar Works Energy in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This hands-on role will own reconciliations, journal entries, AR/AP, customer billing, job costing, and month-end close support.

The ideal candidate will work independently, identify discrepancies, and deliver accurate, review-ready work in a growing multi-entity construction company across several services including solar and roofing. On-site schedule, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Experience performing bank and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end close.
• Working knowledge of accrual accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank, credit-card and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Review general-ledger activity for errors and misclassifications.
• Complete month-end close responsibilities on schedule.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
