Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to co-own the general ledger and the monthly close, working with a fellow Senior Staff Accountant and reporting to the CFO. You will supervise a Staff Accountant and ensure GAAP compliance, multi-state tax filings, and clean balance sheet reconciliations while supporting the Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 BC migration and related reporting.

Qualifications

Active CPA license required.
5+ years accounting with month-end close and supervisory experience.
Construction or field-services accounting experience with job costing and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition under ASC 606.
Strong GAAP and multi-state tax knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Co-own the month-end and year-end close calendar with the other Senior Staff Accountant; review and post journals and deliver internal financial statements on schedule.
Reconcile bank, credit card, intercompany and all balance sheet accounts monthly with documented support.
Analyze results vs budget and prior periods; explain and resolve variances.
Supervise a Staff Accountant and coach them.
Support budgets and forecasts with variance analysis.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
