Job summary

POWERHOUSE FS INC in Crowley, TX is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to co-own the general ledger and month-end close with a fellow Senior Staff Accountant, reporting to the CFO. You will supervise a Staff Accountant and help manage GAAP compliance during the migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The role emphasizes multi-state tax compliance, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and timely, explainable financials.

Qualifications

• Requires CPA license and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close ownership.
• Construction or field-services accounting experience preferred: job costing, WIP, retainage, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Co-own month-end and year-end close calendars, post journals and deliver internal financial statements on schedule.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, intercompany and balance sheet accounts monthly with supporting documentation.
• Supervise Staff Accountant and coach for timely, accurate close; support budget and forecast cycles.
• Lead multi-state sales and use tax compliance and support external audits.
