Position Summary:

This role will support our internal accounting department in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information. You'll be responsible for daily and monthly accounting functions, including billing, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial data preparation, and system maintenance. You'll work closely with company leadership and the broader accounting team to ensure operational efficiency and financial integrity across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Accounting Functions

• Manage monthly billing processes and record customer payments
• Record and reconcile credit card activity and bank transactions
• Process invoices, deposits, credit card charges, and purchase receipts
• Perform job costing and ensure proper categorization of expenses
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and issue vendor payments
• Support fixed asset management and depreciation tracking
• Calculate and file sales and use tax for multiple entities
• Monitor and maintain accuracy within field service management software
• Prepare ad hoc financial data and reports as requested by senior staff

Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Partner with HR, operations, and customer service teams to support company-wide initiatives
• Assist with invoicing and collections, ensuring clear communication with clients and vendors
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and embrace evolving technologies (particularly AI)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer literacy
• Experience with job costing and multi-entity accounting preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Customer-service mindset and team-oriented approach
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and embrace modern accounting systems
