A leading company in the medical technology sector is seeking a Sr Staff Accountant in Irvine, California. The role involves managing the monthly closing process, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and knowledge of ERP systems like SAP. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $72,000 to $102,000 based on education and experience.
Under the direction of VP Finance, the Sr Staff Accountant will be responsible for many critical accounting functions, including leading the monthly closing process, preparing financial reports with supporting schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations. Must have an aptitude for systems and drive a culture of continuous improvements in the accounting function to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance of the Finance group. Must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively and work well cross functionally across the organization.

Working Conditions
Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.
Physical: Generally, may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
Travel: Minimal
