CFS in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This direct-hire, onsite role offers a path to expanded responsibilities as you help manage monthly close, asset records, and audit preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with financial statement preparation and monthly close processes.
• 2–5 years of experience supporting audits (internal or external).
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial data management for the monthly close and reporting.
• Oversee and audit fixed asset records for compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare documentation for external audits and year-end closing activities.
• Consolidate and interpret accounting inputs to produce reports for executives.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and change notices per policy.
• Review vendor contracts and analyze market conditions for material availability.
• Ensure compliance across purchasing and financial transactions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead financial data management for the monthly close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
