Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Active CPA license preferred; CPA candidates encouraged to apply.
  • 3–6+ years of public accounting tax experience; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with individual and business tax returns; knowledge of federal/state tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, S-Corporation, trust, and nonprofit tax returns.
  • Research federal, state, and local tax regulations and apply them to client situations.
  • Identify tax planning strategies, deductions, and credits that maximize client value.
  • Assist clients with tax projections, estimated payments, and year-round planning.
  • Review tax work prepared by junior staff and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for assigned clients.
  • Build long-term relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
  • Respond to client inquiries, IRS notices, and state tax correspondence.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist with onboarding new engagements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and add value for clients.
  • Mentor and coach staff accountants while supporting their technical and professional growth.
  • Review workpapers and tax returns to maintain the firm's quality standards.
  • Assist with training initiatives and staff development programs.
  • Help manage workflow, deadlines, and staffing during busy seasons.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Advisory

  • Recommend improvements to internal processes and workflow efficiencies.
  • Assist with implementation of new tax technology and software solutions.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives that support firm growth.
  • Support business development through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that enhance the client experience and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting is a plus.
  • Active CPA license preferred; CPA candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.
  • Additional credentials such as EA, CMA, or MST are a plus.
  • 3–6+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Experience with UltraTax, QuickBooks, and tax practice management software preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.
