Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Groton, CT is seeking a scientist to apply solid-state NMR to pharmaceutical materials and intermediates, measure API and drug product components, and plan experiments with minimal supervision.

You will collaborate with Materials Science colleagues, document findings in ELN, and contribute to developing new approaches. A PhD or BA/MS with ssNMR experience is required; commutable distance to Groton is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry or related field with ssNMR expertise, or BA/MS with 2–3+ years ssNMR experience.
• Experience with ssNMR sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation of 1D/2D spectra.
• Strong data analysis, organizational skills, and ability to work independently with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Apply ssNMR to characterize a broad range of pharmaceutical materials (APIs, excipients, drug products).
• Apply quantitative ssNMR methods to measure components of APIs and drug products.
• Plan and perform experiments with minimal supervision and collaborate with Materials Science colleagues.
• Contribute to development of new scientific approaches within Materials Science.
• Ensure contemporaneous and accurate ELN entries according to good practice.
