Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Senior Solid State NMR Scientist to provide laboratory support in ssNMR data collection and interpretation for pharmaceutical materials. The role focuses on applying ssNMR to a broad range of APIs and drug products, with independent planning and execution of experiments.

Collaboration with Materials Science is essential to define strategies, solve problems, and develop new approaches while maintaining rigorous notebook documentation and good laboratory practices.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry or related field with ssNMR expertise.
• 2–3+ years ssNMR experience if using BA/MS route.
• Experience with 1D/2D ssNMR spectra interpretation is required.
• Solid-state characterization techniques are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply ssNMR to characterize pharmaceutical materials (crystalline and amorphous).
• Apply quantitative ssNMR methods to measure API and drug product components.
• Plan and perform experiments with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Materials Science to define characterization strategies.
• Solve scientific problems using current Materials Science techniques.
• Contribute to development of new scientific approaches and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate entries in the electronic laboratory notebook per good practice.
