Job summary

Gibraltar Fabrication in Eagle Pass, TX seeks an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer to lead safety on active construction projects, including federal design-build work. The SSHO will develop, implement, and enforce health, safety, and environmental programs in compliance with OSHA and project requirements.

This on-site role requires ten years of construction safety experience, ability to stop work for unsafe conditions, and strong leadership to coach crews and coordinate with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of construction safety experience.
• Experience as SSHO on federal design-build projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA construction standards, including 29 CFR 1926.
• Ability to write and manage JSPs and JSAs.
• Strong communication, organizational and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as designated SSHO for construction projects.
• Develop and implement field safety programs and JSP/APP templates.
• Ensure OSHA standards and contract safety requirements are met.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety logs and prepare safety reports.
