ADB seeks a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to develop, coordinate, and supervise a comprehensive occupational health and safety program on a McConnell AFB project in Kansas. You will work with the construction superintendent, management team, subcontractors, and third parties to meet OSHA and regulatory standards.

The role requires 10 years SSHO experience and 5 years on similar federal projects, with CSP or Safety & Health degree substitutions possible.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ten (10) years of experience as an SSHO.
• Five (5) years of experience on similar projects with the Federal Government.
• Five (5) years of construction industry safety experience.
• 2 years experience may be substituted with CSP certification or a degree in Safety & Health.
• 30-Hour OSHA training or equivalent.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
• Knowledge of USACE EM 385-1-1 and safety program administration.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge of employee training principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of report preparation and statistical analysis

Aufgaben

• Drafts project-specific manuals and updates.
• Determines regulatory applicability and ensures compliance with health and safety laws.
• Establishes safety training objectives and conducts trainings.
• Represents the company in inspections and hearings by client, OSHA, and regulators.
• Conducts site inspections, job hazard analyses, and corrective actions.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor safety plans.
• Investigates incidents and recommends safety improvements.
• Assists with risk management and environmental health issues.
• Prepares budgets and complex analytical documents.
• Builds positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Promotes safety culture and conducts presentations.
• Other duties as assigned.
