General Dynamics - IT seeks a Training Specialist to develop and conduct NSSMS/SSDS training for Fleet Sailors at SCSTC in San Diego, CA. The role covers classroom instruction and shipboard training to enable effective deployment of the Ship's Self-Defense System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
• Five (5) years of NSSMS/SSDS experience as system maintenance technician or supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system in a journeyman level training environment; one (1) year as Navy Training Environment instructor, including curriculum maintenance and learning objectives.
• Experience with SSDS training systems (BFTT, TSSS, ATD) is a significant plus.
• Experience as a Rolling Airframe Missile System (RAM) handling team leader is a significant plus.
• NEC: Required V31A NSSMS MK 57 Mods 10 and above; desired 805A Instructor.
• Master/Afloat Training Specialist (MTS/ATS) qualification preferred.
• Must be able to support training on extended periods on your feet; travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Instruct NSSMS/SSDS operators in tactical employment and system capabilities and limitations.
• Develop, maintain, and align curriculum with Navy guidance for SCSTC courses.
• Provide SME input for curriculum development and learning objectives.
• Utilize SSDS-specific simulation tools to review capabilities and plan engagement doctrine across scenarios.
