Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Training Specialist to support the NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System (NSSMS) and Ship’s Self-Defense System (SSDS) training for the Surface Combat Systems Training Center in San Diego, CA. The role involves instructor duties, curriculum development, and delivering tactically-focused training to Navy personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or work experience.
Five years of NSSMS/SSDS experience as system maintenance technician or supervisor with responsibility for teaching to others in a journeyman training environment; one year as Navy Training Environment instructor.
Experience with SSDS training systems (BFTT, SSDS TSSS, ATD) is a significant plus.
RAM handling team leader experience is a significant plus.
NEC: Required V31A: NSSMS MK 57 Mods 10+; Desired 805A Instructor.

Responsibilities

Instruct NSSMS/SSDS operators in tactical employment and system capabilities.
Support curriculum development for SCSTC courses and operational employment of Ship's Self Defense System.
Provide dynamic teaching, training, and assessment with SSDS capabilities and guidance references.
