Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Firmware & Product Test (FPT) team to design automated test content for SSD firmware, including NVMe targets and customer requirements.

You will advance validation across functional, performance, and stress scenarios while collaborating with firmware, hardware, and systems engineers. The role emphasizes AI-assisted tools, regression automation, and efficient validation workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–6 years of experience or Master's with 3–5 years in CS/EE/Data Science.
• Strong Python programming with automation experience and libraries NumPy, pandas, Scikit-learn.
• Experience with software/firmware validation and test automation.
• Familiarity with ML concepts and applying AI/ML tools to engineering challenges.
• Effective cross-team communication and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated test content for SSD firmware features, including NVMe and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain functional, performance, stress, interoperability, and negative test cases.
• Investigate regression and field failures, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate findings.
• Enhance test automation, CI-based regression systems, reporting tools, and validation workflows.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test development and debugging.
