Apple Services Engineering (ASE) in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build and support highly available customer-facing services and systems across iCloud.

You will apply SRE best practices to ensure availability, reliability, and performance, while collaborating with product teams to design scalable infrastructure and automation.

The role includes on-call duty, incident response, and evolving with microservices and Kubernetes in a cloud environment.

Qualificações

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent field.
• 5+ years in an Infrastructure Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps focused role.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems management.
• Fluency in at least one of Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Awareness of security principles including encryption, keys and exchange protocols.
• Understanding of SRE principles including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and automation.

Responsabilidades

• Engage with product teams to understand requirements, design, and implement resilient and scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Operate, monitor, and triage all aspects of our production and non-production environments.
• Collaborate on code, infrastructure, design reviews, and process enhancements.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system reliability, security, and performance.
• Develop and implement automation to provision, configure, deploy, and monitor services.
• Participate in an on-call rotation providing hands-on technical expertise during incidents.
• Contribute to capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Approach operational problems with a software engineering mindset.
