Job summary

Apple Services Engineering (ASE) / iCloud in Culver City seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable, highly available services. You will collaborate with product teams, automate provisioning and monitoring, manage on-call rotations, and drive DR exercises and capacity planning.

Candidates should have 5+ years in SRE/DevOps, strong Linux and networking fundamentals, experience with Kubernetes, and fluency in Java, Python, or Go.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent with 5+ years experience.
• Proficiency with Linux, networking, and systems management.
• Fluency in Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience scaling distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with microservices and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security principles and encryption.
• SRE concepts: monitoring, alerting, error budgets, automation.
• Strong ownership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement resilient, scalable infrastructure with product teams.
• Operate, monitor, and triage production and non-production environments.
• Review code and infrastructure; participate in design reviews.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve reliability, security, performance.
• Develop automation to provision, configure, deploy, and monitor services.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Contribute to capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery.
• Apply software engineering mindset to operational problems.
