Job summary

Akraya is seeking a senior Linux/DevOps engineer to build and maintain the foundational operating system layer for a large-scale hybrid infrastructure. You will automate the lifecycle of Linux hosts, from configuration and patching to image creation, and lead projects to successful production deployment.

The role requires deep troubleshooting across OS and service layers, with experience across cloud and on-prem environments. Strong automation using Python and Ansible is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years working with Linux in production.
• Strong automation skills (Python and/or Ruby, Ansible preferred).
• Experience debugging complex systems issues.
• Comfortable working across cloud + on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate Linux host configuration, patching, and image creation.
• Manage core system services, base images, and infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across OS and service layers.
• Contribute to diverse codebases for issue diagnosis and resolution.
