Alpaca, a US-headquartered, global brokerage infrastructure leader, seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to keep our trading platform reliable, observable, and scalable across cloud, Kubernetes, and data layers. Qualifications

• 4+ years in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or backend with production ownership.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code in a GitOps workflow.
• Strong production PostgreSQL experience: queries, indexing, online migrations.
• Cloud networking basics and debugging cross-service connectivity; Linux mastery.

Responsibilities

• Operate production day-to-day: on-call, incidents, postmortems, and follow-ups.
• Own reliability practice: define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets with product teams.
• Strengthen observability across metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
• Ship infrastructure through code in a GitOps workflow for cloud and Kubernetes.
• Look after PostgreSQL: performance tuning, online migrations, HA/DR, CDC pipelines.
• Mentor engineers on reliability and database fundamentals via code/design reviews.
