Job summary

Workday Government is seeking a Senior SRE with VDI expertise to support U.S. federal contracts. You will work on a Kubernetes-based platform, automate infrastructure, and maintain a secure, compliant Windows 365/AVD environment.

Role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Expect a hybrid work arrangement with on-site requirements in the DMV area and 24/7 on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Operations.
Experience in high-security environments (DoD IL5, FedRAMP High, GCC-High).
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance (TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred).

Responsibilities

Maintain health and high availability of a Kubernetes-based platform through automation and observability.
Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Argo CD.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation as escalation point for platform and VDI incidents.
Implement security and compliance measures across endpoints and cloud resources.
Lead VDI endpoints management using Microsoft Intune and patching of golden images.
Manage Microsoft Entra ID features and monitor with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender tools.
