Job summary

MongoDB’s InfraSec team seeks a senior security-focused SRE to Harden hosts and containerized workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will build automation, run security controls as code, and ensure secure platform posture at Atlas scale.

You’ll work across Linux, Kubernetes, and major clouds, writing production-grade Go/Python/C/C++/Rust, and using Terraform, Gatekeeper, and eBPF tooling to advance multi-cloud security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Security Engineering
• Strong coding skills in Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust
• Proven track record of building and operating large-scale distributed systems or cloud platform infrastructure
• Hands-on experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated infrastructure provisioning
• Demonstrated experience owning infrastructure in Linux, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with security tooling in multi-cloud environments and IaC workflows

Responsibilities

• Harden hosts and containerized workloads using Linux security mechanisms
• Secure containerized infrastructure across multi-cloud environments
• Build and manage automated CSPM, workload identity, vulnerability management, and access controls
• Write production-quality code and use Terraform to deploy security controls
• Build real-time security monitoring, logging, and alerting systems at scale
• Lead security initiatives from design to production reliability
