Job summary

Oracle Health is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable cloud-native platforms and services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and legacy environments. The role spans infrastructure, automation, and monitoring to ensure scalable, secure healthcare solutions.

The engineer will collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to improve health, respond to incidents, and drive modernization across interoperability and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building and operating reliable cloud infrastructure and services.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and IaC tooling.
• Experience with observability, incident response, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate reliable cloud infrastructure and services on OCI and legacy models.
• Partner with software teams to develop scalable, resilient services and APIs.
• Forecast capacity and analyze trends to support current and future workloads.
• Monitor health, latency, performance, and capacity using observability tools.
• Define SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks for production services.
• Improve resilience through backup, patching, and least-privilege access practices.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
• Develop automation and tooling for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and remediation.
• Support CI/CD, canary/blue-green deployments, rollback planning, and operational readiness.
• Investigate issues across apps and infra to meet service level objectives.
• Identify bottlenecks and reliability risks, implementing improvements.
• Collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to deliver secure healthcare solutions.
• Support modernization of cloud-native architectures and healthcare data platforms.
