Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design and operate reliable cloud-native platforms that support Oracle Health’s healthcare technology initiatives. You will work across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data systems to improve service health and drive modernization.

You will collaborate with software engineering, product, security, and operations teams to design resilient systems, automate workflows, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience designing reliable cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Ability to define SLIs/SLOs and runbooks for production systems.
• Exposure to incident response, postmortems, and remediation actions.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate reliable cloud infrastructure on OCI and legacy deployment models.
• Partner with software engineering to develop scalable services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Forecast capacity needs and ensure systems can handle current and future workloads.
• Monitor service health, latency, performance, and capacity with observability tooling.
• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, KPIs, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks for production services.
• Improve resilience through backup/restore, patching, and least-privilege access practices.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
