Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with JPMorgan Chase, seeks experienced software engineers to advance state-of-the-art delivery and reliability across cloud-native applications. You will design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines and SRE practices, enabling scalable, secure, and observable systems.

You will guide peers, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to robust validation, testing, and secure coding standards while supporting on-call production efforts.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong analysis, research, investigation, and evaluation skills, with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, Scala, and/or .Net.
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Experience developing and running data pipelines using PySpark and good debugging skills.
• Experience managing and developing/deploying on Cloud (private cloud or public cloud).
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and other container technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Dynatrace, OTEL, Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana, particularly in dashboard development.
• Knowledge of GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SONAR, SPLUNK, Maven, AIM and Continuous Delivery tools.
• Demonstrated experience using and leading effective use of enterprise-authorized, AI-assisted software development tools to support SRE workflows.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.

• Collaborates with engineers to design and implement deployment approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborates with teams to design, develop, test, and implement availability, reliability, scalability, and solutions in applications.
• Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
• Resolves complex problems with stakeholders and technical experts.
• Monitors service level objectives to proactively resolve issues before customer impact.
• Supports the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices.
• Provides production support and on-call coverage as part of team rotation.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
