Job summary

Algolia is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in IaaS to shape the next generation of production infrastructure. You will lead cloud baseline design, automate foundations, and drive reliability and cost visibility across multiple cloud providers.

You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and FinOps teams to standardise platforms, reduce toil, and enable scalable workloads while maintaining high availability and performance for our global customers.

Qualifications

• Experience running production workloads on AWS or GCP.
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge in cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code and automation.
• Experience leading complex infra initiatives across teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of Cloud Baseline across cloud providers, including identity, networking, security, cost visibility.
• Automate cloud infrastructure foundations enabling production Kubernetes clusters.
• Drive cloud-environment standardisation and cluster lifecycle automation.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of cloud foundations for large-scale migrations.
• Treat platform as a product with clear interfaces, reusable modules, and self-service workflows.
• Build guardrails for security, compliance, reliability, and safe change management.
• Improve platform efficiency via capacity planning, rightsizing, autoscaling, governance.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across Infrastructure teams.
• Collaborate with Security, FinOps, and engineering to align decisions.
• Participate in on-call rotation and resolve complex production issues.
