Job summary

Algolia is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance scalable infrastructure with a focus on CI/CD, observability, and Kubernetes-based hosting for our search products. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams to drive reliability and performance.

You will bridge gaps between junior and senior staff, shaping long-term infrastructure strategy and transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Golang and Python; Ruby knowledge is a plus.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with modern tools.
• Experience designing monitoring and observability frameworks for actionable insights.
• Experience managing Kubernetes-based architectures in cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Distributed systems experience at scale focusing on reliability and performance.
• Mentorship of junior engineers and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve speed and reliability.
• Improve observability with monitoring and alerting frameworks across critical systems.
• Develop and operate Kubernetes-based architecture and cloud solutions.
• Lead initiatives to optimize resource usage and maintain high availability.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and share knowledge across the team.
• Partner with product and software teams to align platform goals with business needs.
