Job summary

Talantir is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead and scale SRE practices for its Platform Engineering group in New York City or Chicago (Hybrid). You will partner with platform, DevOps, and cloud teams to drive reliability, performance, and operational maturity across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role focuses on building scalable observability, design standards, and automation to improve service stability, deployment pipelines, and on-call response for critical production

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SRE, Platform, or Infra engineering experience.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong observability and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
• Deep containerization and orchestration expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience across cloud (AWS preferred) and on-premise environments.
• Strong scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Establish and evolve SRE practices, standards, and processes across engineering teams.
• Design and scale observability and monitoring platforms across production environments.
• Participate in a team-based on-call rotation for critical systems.
• Define reliability standards for Kubernetes-based applications.
• Build automation to improve deployment pipelines, system health monitoring, and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve service stability and fault tolerance.
• Promote SRE practices such as SLOs, incident reviews, and blameless post-mortems.
