Job summary

Roblox in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build Roblox's private cloud and productionize our Kubernetes-based infrastructure. You will advance reliability across the Infra Compute group and drive scalable, observable systems.

You will design fault-tolerant software, automate cluster lifecycle, implement guardrails, and monitor capacity to prevent degradation. 6+ years SRE/SE, Go/Java/C#, and Nomad/Vault/Consul experience are required; onsite Tue–Thu with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with strong technical foundation.
6+ years as an SRE or Software Engineer with proven impact.
Fluency with Go, Java, and C#.
Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems; Nomad, Vault and Consul are highly desirable.
Ability to build reliable software and tooling and promote best practices.

Responsibilities

Design and develop fault-tolerant systems and libraries; automate cluster management and ensure observability.
Promote reliability initiatives across Infra Compute and provide collaborative reviews.
Build automation to create a golden path of tooling and platform support.
Create tooling with production guardrails and load testing before production deployment.
Develop monitoring and observability to understand capacity and degradation.
Analyze systems for production readiness.
