Job summary

Oracle is seeking an accomplished Site Reliability Engineer to ensure availability, reliability, and performance of cloud platforms and mission-critical applications. You will partner with multiple teams to build resilient, automated, scalable infrastructures and own capacity planning and RCAs.

Focus areas include automation, IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and robust observability. Prior experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus, with on-call responsibilities and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud or Systems Engineering.
• Experience supporting production environments with high availability.
• Hands-on with OCI or other major cloud providers.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise apps and cloud infra.
• Design automations to reduce manual ops and improve deployment consistency.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and automation scripts (Python, Bash).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and releases.
• Monitor systems with observability platforms (metrics, logs, traces, alerts).
• Define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets, participate in on-call rotations.
• Conduct RCA and implement preventive actions to stop recurrences.
• Capacity planning, performance tuning, and scalability assessments.
• Support Kubernetes clusters and cloud-native apps.
• Collaborate with dev teams to improve resiliency and fault tolerance.
• Partner with security teams to meet regulatory requirements.
• Create runbooks, docs, and SOPs.
• Drive automation and best practices for reliability.
