Job summary

Amentum is seeking a full-time Senior Database Administrator to support a DoW customer in Spokane, WA. You will provide enterprise DB administration and SharePoint infrastructure support in a secure DoW environment.

Expertise with SQL Server, SharePoint 2019 on-premises, Windows Server, and DoD cybersecurity is essential. The role involves design, tuning, backup/recovery, security, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 7+ years in MS SQL Server and SharePoint 2016/2019 on-prem.
• DoD 8140 advanced workforce qualification requirements.
• Strong SQL Server performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability and security.
• SharePoint 2016/2019 administration and enterprise farm management.
• Experience with STIGs, RMF, DoD cyber compliance.
• PowerShell, T-SQL automation scripting.
• ER modeling, data normalization, indexing and data modeling.
• Documentation including ERDs and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SQL Server environments across dev, test, prod.
• Design and support secure, highly available database solutions.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity; perform tuning and maintenance.
• Manage backup, recovery, DR, patching, upgrades, lifecycle activities.
• Configure Always On AG and failover clustering for HA.
• Implement database security with access controls, encryption, auditing and STIGs.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and T-SQL.
• Collaborate with developers on schema changes and performance optimization.
• Provide SharePoint Server 2019 on-premises administration and support.
• Support site owners and end users; maintain technical docs and architectures.
