Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments in enterprise settings.
• Strong skills in performance tuning, indexing, query optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience with backup, restore, replication, and high-availability technologies.
• Knowledge of database security, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and storage utilization.
• Perform backups, restorations, and recovery activities.
• Conduct disaster recovery testing and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, blocking, and deadlocks.
• Implement upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database objects.
• Monitor health and performance metrics in production.
• Investigate incidents and performance alerts.
• Support application teams with database issues and deployments.
• Review capacity trends and address database requirements.
