The role focuses on high availability, performance, and reliability of large-scale SQL Server environments powering core business applications.

You will own performance optimization, indexing strategies, and HA implementations while collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable database

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience administering SQL Server environments.
• Expertise in query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and cardinality estimation.
• Experience with SQL Server upgrades and migrations.
• Experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and replication technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise SQL Server database environments.
• Analyze and optimize query performance and execution plans.
• Design and maintain effective indexing strategies.
• Diagnose and resolve blocking, deadlocks, and concurrency issues.
• Manage SQL Server statistics and cardinality estimation.
• Support SQL Server upgrades and version migrations.
• Implement and maintain high-availability and replication solutions.
• Ensure database reliability, security, and performance standards.
