Job summary

UDR Consulting, INC in Charleston, West Virginia, seeks a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to lead architecture, design, and administration of SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, high availability planning (Always On), cloud/hybrid management (Azure SQL Managed Instance), security and automation with PowerShell, Python, and T-SQL. You will mentor junior DB technicians and collaborate with Agile teams to deliver reliable data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Proficient in T-SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience migrating SQL Server across versions and DTS to SSIS.
• Experience with SSIS/SSAS/SSRS.
• Backup and recovery expertise.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable SQL Server database modules.
• Optimize queries and indexing for performance.
• Design and implement HADR backups and high availability.
• Manage Azure SQL Managed Instances and hybrid environments.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Python, or T-SQL.
• Mentor junior DB technicians and coordinate with Agile teams.
