A government services provider is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage Microsoft SQL Server and optimize database performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in SQL Server Administration, alongside expertise in VMware and cloud technologies. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience related directly to SQL Server Database Administration.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
• Experience with visualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Knowledge related to source/change control, bug tracking, SDLC, and integration of Relational Databases.
• Ability to document, explain, and present any task related to decisions and processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server including Replication, Backup/Restore procedures.
• Provide systems administration support including planning and installation.
• Recommend and implement solutions for SQL performance monitoring.
• Perform backups of web, application, and database servers.
