US staffing Inc. is seeking a SQL Database Engineer in New Jersey for an onsite, day-one role. The candidate will lead migrating over 20,000 MSSQL stored procedures to AWS RDS PostgreSQL and ensure seamless integration with .NET Core microservices.

Qualifications

10+ years of database engineering experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
Experience migrating 20K+ stored procedures to PostgreSQL on AWS.
Strong knowledge of T-SQL to PL/pgSQL translation.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing MSSQL structures (20K+ procedures, triggers, functions).
Design migration frameworks using SCT and DMS.
Translate T-SQL scripts to PL/pgSQL with data type conversions and set-based logic.
Optimize SQL logic and remove obsolete procedures during migration.
Coordinate with app/microservices teams to preserve business logic and API compatibility.
Conduct data validation, performance tuning, and benchmarking for the new environment.
Develop monitoring scripts and dashboards for migration progress and health checks.
Collaborate with DevOps for AWS RDS configuration, backup, and scaling.
