Revolutional is seeking a Senior SQL Database Engineer to support the Dept. of State IDEA program, based in the Washington, DC area.
The role requires mastery in database architecture, dimensional modeling, SQL, and database programming, with leadership to mentor a team and provide 24x7 mission-critical support onsite. You will oversee lifecycle management of massive datasets, ensuring quality, security, and availability while aligning enterprise data policies with cloud and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
- Knowledge of ETL, SQL, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with enterprise data management policies, processes, and procedures.
- Experience with database implementations, database language theory, database design, SQL, and database programming.
- Experience with dimensional data modeling and schema design for data warehouses.
- Experience facilitating information discovery sessions with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts.
- Ability to assist in mapping business and technical architecture to requirements.
- Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in Database Architecture and Design.
- Familiarity with Cloud and DevOps principles (AWS preferred, Azure secondary).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
