Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
• 8+ years of experience with database products and operating systems.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure, and security fundamentals.
• Experience implementing high-availability solutions (Always On).
• Strong SQL knowledge and ability to troubleshoot database infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
• Perform installations, migrations, patching, and ongoing maintenance.
• Tune performance and optimize SQL queries and resource usage.
• Troubleshoot database issues with multiple IT teams.
• Implement security and access controls per policy.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Support data processes and migrations for applications.
• Create and update technical documentation and procedures.
• Evaluate database products and influence technology direction.
• Provide guidance to junior staff.
