Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking an Azure Cloud SQL Database Administrator to provide day-to-day operational support for production SQL environments hosted in Microsoft Azure.

You will focus on Azure SQL Managed Instances, data factory pipelines, and high-availability configurations, collaborating with customers and engineering teams during incidents, maintenance, and disaster recovery events. This remote managed services role requires strong communication and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience administering production SQL workloads in Azure.
• Hands-on with Azure SQL Managed Instances and Azure IaaS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of CDC, SSRS/SSAS/SSIS, and data integration services.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure SQL Managed Instances and Azure SQL workloads.
• Monitor database health, performance, connectivity, replication, and storage growth.
• Implement indexing, statistics, and query tuning for high-volume databases.
• Maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines and integrations with SQL platforms.
• Support Azure data platform services including SSRS/SSAS/SSIS and CDC.
• Configure and test Azure SQL failover groups and high availability setups.
• Develop operational SOPs and disaster recovery runbooks.
• Engage with customers and internal teams during incidents and maintenance.
• Participate in managed services projects aligned with customer objectives.
