Job summary

SITEC Consulting, LLC. seeks a Senior SQL Database Administrator to sustain lifecycle activities for education and training applications, in a secure DoD environment. You will manage SQL Server databases, implement security controls, and optimize performance across on-premises and cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL Server expertise, DoD IAT Level I compliance, and experience with automation tooling (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform) to keep systems reliable and secure.

Qualifications

• Must have active TS/SCI with Polygraph and DoD 8570 IAT Level I.
• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years DBA experience or 14 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong experience administering SQL Server databases and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
• Perform patching, backups, restores, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries and structures.
• Implement and manage database security controls and encryption standards.
• Develop automation scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Support cloud-hosted databases using AWS (RDS/EC2).
• Assist with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.
• Evaluate current DBMS tools and technologies.
