Job summary

Peregrine Advisors is a rapidly growing AI and data innovation hub delivering solutions for federal clients. You will design and optimize the data layer for a federal enterprise platform, building reliable data pipelines and secure data stores.

You will work with Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and S3, crafting data models, writing SQL, and ensuring auditable data flows. This role is hybrid in the Washington, DC metro area, with opportunities to advance through ownership and impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with strong SQL and data modeling knowledge.
Experience with Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible) and DynamoDB is essential.
Competitive SQL skills, views, procedures, and data normalization.
Experience securing data, access control, and auditing.
Experience ETL/ELT development across AWS services.

Responsibilities

Design database schemas and write views, stored procedures, and functions.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines including loads from S3.
Optimize queries for high-volume workloads and improve performance.
Model data across AWS stores like Aurora, DynamoDB, and S3.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and data engineers; ensure security and auditability.
